Piping Away Gallery
Piping away down spout drains keeps hundreds of gallons of water away from your foundation walls every rain. If you or I were to build a house we would do it, but general contractors never do. We at Drainage First address this on every job and will clean out or improve what you have to make it work the way we would build it.
Common Leak Sources
Builders at times will short change on details. Big surprise right! Final grading and the position of a retaining wall is a common problem. Common sense goes a long way and if you keep the water lower than the floor level and keep it back from the transition from stud wall to concrete wall water won’t come in.
Different Solutions Different Problems
Every water issue is unique, and so is the way we solve it. From drainage installations to waterproofing and foundation repairs, each project is tailored to address the specific challenges of the property—ensuring long-lasting results that fit the problem at hand.

Finger Space Drain
Finger space drains, also known as strip or fin drains, are innovative, flat, and narrow drainage systems designed for efficient water management in confined spaces where traditional pipes are impractical. Made from geotextile-wrapped plastic or synthetic materials, they prevent clogging while allowing water to filter through, making them ideal for applications like roadside drainage, sports fields, landscaped areas, and residential basement waterproofing.
Their flexibility, quick installation, and minimal environmental disruption make them a versatile, aesthetically pleasing solution for redirecting water, preventing damage, and maintaining effective drainage in challenging environments.
Exterior Waterproofing
Exterior Waterproofing is something that makes sense if the foundation leak is not too deep. This means that the underground wall where the leak is, is not more than 5′ underground. If it is more than 5′ underground, then the effort of excavation and repairs would be greater than doing an inside subfloor drain system.
Exterior waterproofing makes perfect sense when it’s not too deep and we can seal the outside foundation and keep the water from coming in. Exterior waterproofing, keeping the water out vs catching it after it comes in, just makes common sense which is what we are all about!!
